The Forty-spotted Pardalote is endemic to Tasmania and the rarest of the Pardalote species. It is extremely rare and found only in small populations in south-eastern Tasmania, including on Flinders, Bruny and Maria Islands. The Forty-spotted pardalote lives in coastal forests and woodlands. Its endangered status is mainy due to land clearing, conversion and dieback of its habitat. More information about the Forty-spotted Pardalote’s endangered status can be found on the Tasmanian Government’s threatened species website. Yellow Dogwood is native to Tasmania and recognisable for its striking yellow flowers.  It is classified as a medium shrub to small tree favouring rocky hillsides and coastal gardens.
